As I understand it, Colleen Wallace first started the Texas Ladies State Hat Parade Contest.  It has gone on every year since then, and is now held in Colleen Wallace's honor.  In 2009, it looked like it might not happen, but Kay Sandlin and Carolann Gibson (sisters from the Seguin Classic CASI Pod) stepped up and took it over.  After getting a late start last year and learning from their mistakes, they have a new game plan for this year.  So ladies, start decorating your hats!  Let's make this the biggest Hat Parade ever, in honor of Colleen and also the 40th Anniversary of Texas Ladies State!!

2010 TLS Hat Parade & Contest Rules

• Contest is open to Registered Cooks and their adult lady guests only.

• 1st Place prizes will be awarded to the winners in the following 5 categories:

• Most Beautiful

• Most Original

• Funniest

• Most Outrageous

• "People's Choice".

• Secret judges will vote by ballot on all categories with the exception of "People's Choice".  "People's Choice" will be decided by audience participation.

• Registration for the contest will be set up next to cook's registration, at the same times.  Late registrations will be accepted at Kay & Carolann's camp site until 3:00 pm.  No registrations accepted after 3:00 pm!

• All registered contestants should meet Kay & Carolann at the slab at 3:45 pm.  Contest will begin at 4:00 pm.

• Most important:  LET'S HAVE FUN!!!!
